Pleasant atmosphere, meal a bit overpriced for the small portions, but the crowd is pretty constant, so maybe I just prefer larger portions. I could have ordered the BBQ by the pound, but opted for a meal.Seating is a bit tight due to the crowded dinning area. Tables by drink machine endure constant inattentive patrons banging into your table or standing in your space while they wait for their food. BBQ was good, but burnt ends were not at burnt or crispy.

I use to live in KC always love Joe's. I was visiting and I took my son. The ribs were awesome, and I was a little nervous because I like my ribs a certain way. I thought my ends would be the safer bet because I have enjoyed them so much at Joe's in the past, but they weren't. They were really fatty and not much meat. I ended up just eating a bunch of the fries because I let my son have the ribs. Kinda disappointed.

They changed the name due to a conflict with a BBQ sauce company with the same name. The restaurant was originally called Oklahoma Joe's because the smoker they used to win competions was an "Oklahoma Joe" (a brand of smokers)

Yes you can, call it in as a to go order and pick it up. That way you miss t by e lines

Continuously busy. There is always a line, but moves fast. The food is amazing. Best BBQ in KC.
